Jamie Cochran is a Southern Iowa based photographer specializing in modern wedding and senior portrait photography. Jamie’s approach to his craft is different, and so is his style which makes him unique. He is extremely passionate about his work and feels blessed to be doing what he loves for a living. He and his wife Jaime (yes, both have the same name), as well as their two children, live in Moravia, Iowa.
The majority of people when told that photography for Jamie is self-taught is stunned. Originally, graphic design was Jamie’s degree when he graduated in 1997 from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. Jamie started his creative career as an Art Director for a large advertising agency in Chicago. While working in the Windy City, he was fortunate enough to work alongside some amazing photographers. It was there that his passion for creative storytelling grew.
Today, as a photographer, Jamie continues to create new styles and push the boundaries of his craft. He continues to develop exquisite displays of photo presentation and is dedicated to creating treasured heirlooms for today and tomorrow. His photographic style markets to the discerning client looking for something different. Unlike other portrait studios, Jamie’s clientele is not interested in discounted photo packages but instead investing in a piece of artwork admired by all.
